Dena graduated from Little Rock High School in 1940. She taught rural school for 4 years and then joined the Cadet Nurse Corps in July of 1947. She married Harold J. Kruse on August 29, 1947, and to this union were born two children, Norman and Stephanie. Dena attended the Salem Reformed Church in Little Rock, and the First Baptist Church of George. She died Friday, August 21, 1992, at the age of 71 years, 2 months, and 7 days. She leaves to cherish her memories; husband Harold of George, Iowa; son Norman and wife Cheryl Kruse of Kensington, California; daughter Stephanie and husband Craig Schriber of Reno, Nevada; ten brothers and sisters; Mattie and husband Wilkie Harms and Mrs. Helen Dammer, all of Little Rock; Luella and husband Elmer Jager of Sheldon, Iowa; Grace and husband Rev. Ray Willemssen of Rock Rapids, Iowa; Andrew and wife Earlene Kanengieter, Jr. of Sheldon, Iowo; Elmer and wife Barbara Kenengieter of Little Rock, Iowa; Delbert and wife Marge Kanengieter of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Arlene and husband Don Rickabaugh of Little Rock, Iowa; Erma and husband Harm Winter of George, Iowa; Everon and wife Joyce Kanengieter of Little Rock, Iowa; and brother-in-law Clyde Heitbbrink of Little rock, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Janet. Services, Monday, August 24, 1992 at 1:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of rural George, Iowa.
