Born Feb. 8, 1950, in Athens, he was a son of the late William Herbert and June A. Eckard Sharp. A 1968 graduate of Federal Hocking High School, he was employed with Gould Manufacturing in McConnelsville. He was a longtime Malta resident and former resident of Amesville and Stockport. Born Feb. 8, 1950, in Athens, he was a son of the late William Herbert and June A. Eckard Sharp. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Kaye Sharp. The funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 8, at Jagers and Sons Funeral Home, in Athens, and officiated by Minister Rodger Powell. Burial will be in Amesville (Mud Sock) Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. Thursday, until the time of the service, at the funeral home. Military Rites will be conducted by K.T. Crossen Post 21 American Legion and Albany VFW Post 9893 Honor Guards at the cemetery.
