Description	:	June Arlene Sharp, age 88, of Stockport formerly of Amesville, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014 at her home. Born Dec. 20, 1925 in Junction City, she was the daughter of the late Homer & Garnet Linscott Eckard. A 1944 graduate of Ames-Bern High School, she was a longtime Amesville resident. She had been employed at McBee Corp. and retired in 1970 from Amesville and Federal Hocking Schools as a cook. She and her husband moved to Stockport in 1974 where they enjoyed fishing on the Muskingum River. She loved and enjoyed her family and pet companion Sam. She was of the... Born Dec. 20, 1925 in Junction City, she was the daughter of the late Homer & Garnet Linscott Eckard. A 1944 graduate of Ames-Bern High School, she was a longtime Amesville resident. She had been employed at McBee Corp. and retired in 1970 from Amesville and Federal Hocking Schools as a cook. She and her husband moved to Stockport in 1974 where they enjoyed fishing on the Muskingum River. She loved and enjoyed her family and pet companion Sam. She was of the United Methodist Faith. June is survived by three sons- David (Terri) Sharp of Amesville, Dennis Sharp of Malta and Daniel (Regina) Sharp of Amesville; seven grandchildren- David (Danita) Sharp, Stephanie (George) Howell, Lance (Jenna) Sharp, Kelli Sharp, Daniel (Jennifer) Sharp, Heidi (Rusty) Sharp, Travis (Katie Fleer) Sharp; a granddaughter-in-law, Chrisy Sharp; twelve great grandchildren; a special friend and neighbor, Carolyn Hall of Stockport. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, William Herbert Sharp; a daughter, Kaye Sharp; a grandson, Jason Sharp; a granddaughter, Melissa Sharp; a great grandchild, Raylin Richards; and a sister, Betty Harris. Funeral service will be conducted Saturday 11:00am at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens officiated by Rodger Powell, Minister. Burial will be in Amesville Cemetery.
