He married Janet Davis on October 7, 1967 in Williamsport; Warren County, Indiana. _______________________________________________________________________ Dennis Lucas, Sr., 71, of Georgetown, passed away at 2:20pm, Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. He was born on August 24, 1949, in Williamsport, Indiana, the son of William Herman and Delilah Mae {Kennedy} Lucas, both deceased. On October 7, 1967, he was united in marriage to Janet Davis in Williamsport, IN. She survives. He is also survived by: his children, Dennis R. (Heather) Lucas Jr. of Chrisman, Richard E. (Pamela J) Lucas of Chrisman, Nathan L. Lucas of Ridge Farm, Amy R. Lucas of Georgetown, & Ryan A. Lucas of Georgetown; his grandchildren, Dawnita, Danielle, Zachary, Harrison, Kylie, Kristina, Aubree, Dylan, Brynlee, Steven, Desiree, Emily, Madison, & Jacob; his 11 great grandchildren; his brother, Bill (Linda) Lucas & Steven Lucas, both of Indiana; his sisters, Margery (Richard) Glenn, Mary Waling, Edie (Richard) Wesley, & Karen (Guye) Hurd, all of Indiana; and many extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Natalie Lucas; his brother, David Lucas; and his sister, Linda Spear. Dennis drove a truck for Bill Smith Auto Parts and retired in 1992. He served as an alderman for Ward 4 for the City of Georgetown, later went on to serve as Mayor. He volunteered and worked for Georgetown School District. He was a member of the Williamsport Church of Christ and attended First Church of Christ in Georgetown. His legacy will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
