Description	:	Deo Loney Deo John Loney, 76, of Montrose died at 9:55 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at his home after a three-month battle with lung cancer. Born Oct. 27, 1933, in Davis County, he was the son of Archie Virgil and Bressia Simmons Loney. On July 3, 1954, he married Mary Lorean Jones in Bloomfield. Read More	Deo Loney Deo John Loney, 76, of Montrose died at 9:55 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at his home after a three-month battle with lung cancer. Born Oct. 27, 1933, in Davis County, he was the son of Archie Virgil and Bressia Simmons Loney. On July 3, 1954, he married Mary Lorean Jones in Bloomfield. Mr. Loney worked at Ortho Fertilizer Plant, retiring in 1986. He taught for two years at Montrose High School and at Central Lee High School until 1966. He graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1951. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in business education at Northeast Missouri State University. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of American Legion Post 474 in Donnellson. He spent most of his life in the Donnellson and Montrose area. He was a race fan and worked in different capacities at every area race track. He enjoyed golfing and had the first recorded hole in one and the first Club Champion at the Green Acres Golf Course. He enjoyed the outdoors, his flower gardens and riding his motorcycle. He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother, his stepfather, one brother and one sister.
