Funeral services will be at 3:00 P. M., Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton, with burial in the Yarborough Cemetery, Scranton. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 P. M., prior to the services at the funeral home. Read More	Deseree Delorese Yarborough Miles, 84, wife of the late Ralph E. Miles, died from complications of pneumonia Wednesday, March 12, 2015, at Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia. Funeral services will be at 3:00 P. M., Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton, with burial in the Yarborough Cemetery, Scranton. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 P. M., prior to the services at the funeral home. Ms. Miles was born October 19, 1930 in Scranton, SC, one of ten children born to the late Jeff and Nancy Matthews Yarborough. In addition to being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Ms. Miles was a professional photographer, an accomplished gardener, a published writer (Rhymes of Pain and Laughter), and avid animal lover. Since the early 1960s, Ms. Miles was a member of the Lake City Pentecostal Church, where she served as Sunday school teacher, secretary, and program director. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Lake City Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary. Survivors include her four daughters of Irmo, Conway, Easley, and Effingham, eight grandchildren of Pamplico, Coward, Florence, Lexington, Ringgold, Georgia, Marietta, Georgia, Columbus, Ohio, and Charleston, and nine great grandchildren of Effingham, Lexington, Marietta, Georgia, and Woodruff, SC. Ms. Miles was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Faye, and four sisters, Julia Yarborough, Nellie Lynch, Gertie Lynch, Jettie Rue McClam, and five brothers, Ervin Yarborough, Hilary Yarborough, Hubert Yarborough, Malery Yarborough, and R. J. Yarborough.
