Description	:	Dewey Fessler passed away due to a heart attack in his sleep at his home near Sutton Wednesday morning, October 8, 1969, at the age of 71 years 2 months and 17 days. Mr. Fessler was born July 21, 1898, the child of Henry and Hilda Peterson Fessler. December 28, 1921, he was married to Lola Churchill of Geneva. Read More	Dewey Fessler passed away due to a heart attack in his sleep at his home near Sutton Wednesday morning, October 8, 1969, at the age of 71 years 2 months and 17 days. Mr. Fessler was born July 21, 1898, the child of Henry and Hilda Peterson Fessler. December 28, 1921, he was married to Lola Churchill of Geneva. To this union were born four children; Mildred Hammel, Darrell Fessler, Mrs. Marian Helton and Duane Fessler. Mr. Fessler retired from farming in 1963 and lived on a farm near Sutton. He is survived by his wife, Lola; two sons, two daughters, one son-in-law, two daughters-in-law, 15 grandchildren, the eldest grandson is now serving in Vietnam; four great-grandchildren, also several nephews and nieces and cousins in the United States and Canada; and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and sisters and nine half-brothers and sisters. Funeral services were held Friday, October 10, at 3:30 p.m. in the Kohlers Chapel in Sutton, Rev. H. E. Long officiated. Two solos, "Beyond the Sunset" and "Just a Closer Walk with Thee," were sung by Sheldon Johnson with Mrs. Johnson as accompanist. Pallbearers were Orville Oates, Eugene Huntley, Harold Everts, Albert Johnson, Merrill Barnell and Marvin Bartlett. Interment was in the Sutton Cemetery. Those attending the funeral from out of state were Mrs. Marian Helton and family; and Mr. and Mrs. Ken Coward and Cindy Lou. The Nebraska Signal (Geneva, NE), October 16, 1969
