Description	:	Dewey W. Watson, 83, of rural Stockport, died at 5:10 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at Sunnybrook Living Care Center, Fairfield. Born Feb. 25, 1926, near Stockport, he was the son of Carl and Martha Stanley Watson. On March 1, 1975, he married Gladys Carter in Fairfield. She died Nov. 7, 1998. Born Feb. 25, 1926, near Stockport, he was the son of Carl and Martha Stanley Watson. On March 1, 1975, he married Gladys Carter in Fairfield. She died Nov. 7, 1998. Mr. Watson farmed the farm where he was born and lived his entire life. He served in the Army from 1950 to 1952 during the Korean War. Survivors include nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. today at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday prior to the funeral. The funeral for Mr. Watson will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Shewmaker officiating. Burial will be in Hillsboro Cemetery.
