Read More	Sterling Journal Advocate Dianna Kay Gemaehlich, 66, passed away on Feb. 12, 2012, after a long and painful struggle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family, who lovingly sent her into the arms of Jesus. Dianna was born Jan. 17, 1946, to John Everett and Zoetta Spencer. She grew up in Colorado and Nebraska with her two brothers. She graduated high school from Venango High School in 1964 and was an honorary graduate of Loomis High School. Dianna was well known for her love of the Lord and her passion for children. Whether teaching Sunday school or loving the 75 foster children who passed through her home, she was always prepared to talk about her faith and to help a child in need. Before her retirement in January 2011, Dianna was a Home Health Supervisor for Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center. Dianna is survived by her husband, LaVergn Gemaehlich; five children, daughter, Persephone James of Hong Kong; son, Stewart James and wife Nikki of Grand Junction; daughter, Karla Ells and husband Chris of Burleson, Texas; sons, Phillip and Jose Gemaehlich of Sterling; nine grandchildren; brother, Dennis Spencer and wife Judy of Greeley; brother, Roger Spencer and wife Anita of Funk, Neb. She was preceded in death by her mother and father. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be given to the building fund at Trinity Lutheran Church, 732 Clark St., Sterling or Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center, 122 Hospital Road, Brush.
