Also 11 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Joe Van Diest of Sioux Center and Mrs. Jake Van Maanen of Beaver Creek, Minn. He was preceded in death by a brother Gerrit Juffer of Sioux Center. Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon April 4, 1944 at one o'clock at the home and at one-thirty at the Central Reformed Church with Rev. R.D. Meengs officiating. Burial was made at the local cemetery and acting as pall-bearers were six sons, Richard, Elmer, Wilmer and Harry Juffer, Jake Koolbeck and Ed De Vos. Mr. Juffer was born in the Netherlands on Nov 14, 1868 [sic] and spent the past 55 years living in this community.
