Diedrich Tjark Riemann was born Sept. 6, 1902 and died July 24, 1905, age 2y 10m 18d. The above dates tell of the coming and the taking away of a sweet child's spirit. It came to the home of Mr. & Mrs. Tjark Riemann only a little over 2 years ago and in that time, it's mission on earth has been fulfilled. The little life, that has given joy & happiness to the family circle, is called to take it's place in that other home, where all is joy and gladness. Diedrich was taken sick Saturday with the symptoms of inflammation of the bowels and was not known to be in a dangerous condition until Monday afternoon, shortly before he died. The funeral services were held Wednesday AM with a short service conducted at the house by Rev Janssen and then at the German Church (St. John's) west of Barneston, where interment was made. Masters, Oliver Townsend, Hobart Lutz, Harlo Woods, Floyd Mayberry acted as pall bearers. The family has the sympathy of all in the loss of their little one. This clipping was found when the estate of Ted Riemann was settled in 1996. Baptism November 9, 1902
