The manifest gives us their last residence as having been the village of Berezow in Galicia; the most probable modern reference: Berezivka, Donetska, Ukraine (48.345712, 37.4925486). Of further interest, that document tells us they declared as being "Russian Poles" and they were part of a large cohort from the same town making their way to Manitoba and other destinations in Canada and the USA. The family homestead in 1906 is recorded as being located on a parcel of land in section 12-17-2-E1, (Dominion Land Survey coordinates), near modern coordinates 50.440505,-97.194900. He was a resident of the Selkirk Mental Hospital in 1916, and recorded as a patient in the similar facility in Brandon in both the 1921 and 1926 censuses.
