The couple declared they were intending to join Dmytro's brother-in-law. The couple's ages were reported as 29 (Dmytro) and 21 (Wasylena). The manifest gives us their last residence as having been the village of Berezow in Galicia; the most probable modern reference: Berezivka, Donetska, Ukraine (48.345712, 37.4925486). Of further interest, that document tells us they declared as being "Russian Poles" and they were part of a large cohort from the same town making their way to Manitoba and other destinations in Canada and the USA. The Negrycz family homestead was on SW-2-17-2-E1 (50.422063, -97.223510). When her first husband and the father of her children was committed to a mental hospital in about April, 1916, Jennie established a new relationship with Radion Jasenko, as reflected in subsequent census documents, with the family then living on a homestead located at SW-31-18-2-E1 (50.584313, -97.315984). No formal registration of this arrangement has yet come to hand (2022), thus, it is presumed to have been one to be best characterized as "common-law".
