Read More	1929 © Waterloo Gazette; Waterloo, Nebraska; Friday, June 21, 1929, page 1 Mrs. Glenn Payne Mrs. Dolly Payne, wife of Glenn Payne, died at the Nicholas Senn hospital in Omaha Saturday evening, June 15, 1929, following an illness of several weeks. Before her marriage she was Miss Dolly Woods, and was born in Omaha, July 27, 1904, being 24 years, 10 months and 12 days at the time of her death. She was married to Glenn Payne November 1, 1921 and to them were born two children, Dolores and Glenn, Jr. She also has a brother, Lucien Hartman, Omaha, and a sister, Mrs. Ben Stenglein of Waterloo. Mrs. Payne was well known in the community. She had a wide circle of friends and was highly respected by all who knew her. Her death came as a distinct shock to the whole community. She was a faithful wife, a loving mother and a good friend. Funeral services were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Stenglein, south of Waterloo, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The services were in charge of the Rev. J. M. Pattison. During the service Robert Warren sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "Homeland." The services were attended by a very large number of people, many coming from Omaha and surrounding towns. Pallbearers were C. A. Stenglein, Ernest King, Walter Jaycox, Harry Swartz, Arch Brown Jr., and Carl Hall. Card of Thanks We desire to express our sincere thanks to our many friends for the kindness and sympathy shown us during our recent bereavement, caused by the death of our beloved wife, mother and sister, Dolly Payne.
