Description	:	Dollie "Viola" Houser Triplett Dollie Triplett, wife of Leonard W. Triplett, passed away suddenly at her home in Henderson, Jan. 2,1950 at the age of 77 years, 8 months and 16 days. She was born in Christian county, Ill. April 11,1872. She came to Iowa from Illinois with her parents, John and Mary Houser at the age of 15 years and resided on a farm 2 miles south of Henderson, Iowa. She was one of a family of ten, three sisters and six brothers. She was preceded in death by three infant brothers and a sister, Mrs. Lillie Triplett. Those remaining to mourn her... Read More	Dollie "Viola" Houser Triplett Dollie Triplett, wife of Leonard W. Triplett, passed away suddenly at her home in Henderson, Jan. 2,1950 at the age of 77 years, 8 months and 16 days. She was born in Christian county, Ill. April 11,1872. She came to Iowa from Illinois with her parents, John and Mary Houser at the age of 15 years and resided on a farm 2 miles south of Henderson, Iowa. She was one of a family of ten, three sisters and six brothers. She was preceded in death by three infant brothers and a sister, Mrs. Lillie Triplett. Those remaining to mourn her passing are two sisters, Mrs. Henry Frain of Macedonia, Ia. and Mrs. Flora Dobbs of Aurora, Ill. Three brothers, Jake Houser of Macedonia, Ia., William Houser of Venango, Nebr., and Arch E. Houser of Henderson. She was united in marriage to Jesse Darnell and to this union was born one son, William E. Darnell of Henderson. Her husband was taken in a railroad accident about two years later. On Sept. 16,1894 she was united in marriage to Leonard W. Triplett and to this union was born two daughters, Mrs. Kay Harris of Henderson and Mrs. Nina Phelps of Rockport, Mo. On June 1894 she was baptized in the West Nishma River and united in fellowship with the Methodist church. In 1901 they moved to Henderson where she transfered her letter to the Christian church in which she was a faithful worker until her death. Also left to mourn her passing are four grandchildren, Mrs. Dave Henderson of Red Oak, Dale Harris of Washington, D.C., Dwayne Harris of Omaha, Nebr. and Carolyn Phelps of Rockpot, Mo., five great grandchildren and a host of friends. Dollie was laid to rest in the Farm Creek cemetery in Henderson, Iowa.
