Description	:	Dolores Marie Schulze was born on October 20, 1923 to Henry and Matilda (Stach) Schulze, at home on the family farm in rural Hordville, Nebraska. Dolores was the oldest of four children born to Hank and Tillie, followed by three ornery little brothers, Lavern, Marvin and Ervin. Read More	Dolores Marie Schulze was born on October 20, 1923 to Henry and Matilda (Stach) Schulze, at home on the family farm in rural Hordville, Nebraska. Dolores was the oldest of four children born to Hank and Tillie, followed by three ornery little brothers, Lavern, Marvin and Ervin. Dolores resided at the Aurora Memorial Care Center and was called Home to be with Jesus on March 28, 2020 at the age of 96. Burial will be in the Church cemetery. Cremation. Dolores was baptized as an infant, and later confirmed her faith in her Lord Jesus Christ, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Polk, NE. She received her 8th grade education at Immanuel Lutheran School which was just a short walk from her childhood home, graduating from Polk High School in 1942. Following graduation, Dolores moved to St. Paul, Minnesota to live with her Uncle Walt and Aunt Hannah while holding a job with the Union Pacific Railroad, later moving to Des Moines, Iowa to pursue business with J.J. Jost Tire Company, working as a bookkeeper. While living in Des Moines, she was a faithful member of Peace Lutheran Church. Dolores enjoyed her Church family, filling her time with every opportunity to show her love of Christ. Singing in the choir, washing the communion cups, teaching Sunday School, and with the help of her brother Ervin, she was instrumental in getting three steel crosses constructed on the grounds of the Church to be a witness of the greatest gift ever given, the gift of eternal life! Upon returning to her old stomping grounds in Nebraska, she became a member of Zion Lutheran Church of rural Hampton. In the desire to maintain a youthful spirit and a keen mind, she loved playing Bridge with her friends, a game of pitch or "66" card game with family and friends when she would return home to Nebraska for the holidays and reunions. A pleasure for Dolores was to treat her out-of-town visitors to Baskin-Robbins ice cream, a trip to the mall and the various sights of the big city. She was always a tease, and an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan, often ribbing her family when the big games were on, never really making the trade to become a Nebraska Husker when she moved to Nebraska in her golden years to be closer to family. Dolores is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Lavern, Marvin and Ervin; Elaine Schulze (wife of Lavern) and their daughter Joanne Schulze; nephew-in-law Kent Christensen; special friend Ed Gunton. Dolores is survived by Annette Schulze (wife of Marvin), Diana Schulze (wife of Ervin); Nieces and Nephews and their families, Kelvin (Rhonda) Schulze, Janis (Brad) Luebe, Denise Christensen, Jerry (Patricia) Schulze; Peg (Keith) Rinker, Sharon Schulze, Tim (Linda) Schulze, Yvonne (Tim) Bopp; Sheli (Michael) Paulsen, Jay (Christie) Schulze, Jill (Joel) Weisheit, Cory (Beth) Schulze; a host of cousins, friends old and new, friends from her home in Iowa.
