Description	:	Mr. Henry Schulze, passed away December 11, 1974 at the Central City Hospital. He had been in failing health the past three months. Funeral services were held on December 14, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church near Polk, NE. The Rev. Stephen Stohlmann, pastor of Immanuel officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. The congregation sang, "What God Ordaines Is Always Good" with Mrs. Doyle Klingsporn as organist. Special music was provided by the church youth choir singing, "I Am the Resurrection and the Life" and the adult choir singing "A Faithful Shepherd is my Lord." Mr. Schulze was born... Mr. Schulze was born on May 23, 1894 near Tilden, Nebraska and was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilden. When he was 8 years old he moved to the Hordville community. He attended the Christian Day School and was confirmed April 4, 1909 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church near Polk where he was a member and remained faithful until his death. On November 28, 1922 he was united in marriage to Mathilda Stach of Hordville. They farmed in the Hordville Community until 1951 when he retired and took up the hobby of wood working. Mr. Schulze is survived by a daughter Dolores of Des Moines Iowa, three sons, Lavern and Marvin of Hordville, and Ervin of Hampton, twelve grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Rhode of Seward, Mrs. Martha Suhr of Utica, and Miss Malinde Joseph of Fremont, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1953 and also by a granddaughter in 1956.
