Description	:	Dolores Mann, 84, of Cottonwood Falls, KS, formerly of Cedar Point, died Monday, November 13, 2017 at the Chase County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Cottonwood Falls. The daughter of Vernon and Lois (McAuley) Maxwell, she was born July 11, 1933, in Americus, KS. She graduated from Admire High School in 1951 and attended Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia where she earned her teaching certificate. Read More	Dolores Mann, 84, of Cottonwood Falls, KS, formerly of Cedar Point, died Monday, November 13, 2017 at the Chase County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Cottonwood Falls. The daughter of Vernon and Lois (McAuley) Maxwell, she was born July 11, 1933, in Americus, KS. She graduated from Admire High School in 1951 and attended Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia where she earned her teaching certificate. She taught first and second grades at Cedar Point Grade School for five years. Dolores and Richard Mann were married May 19, 1957 in Admire, KS. She and Richard farmed in the Cedar Point area before moving to Cottonwood Falls. She drove a school bus to Cedar Point and worked at Western Associates as a secretary for 23 years. Dolores was a member of the Homestead Church and the Friends Women (Quaker Bonnets) group and later the Elmdale United Methodist Church. She was a member of University Women and an extension unit. She and Richard spent many hours traveling and watching their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren play sports. Dolores is survived by her husband, of the home; son, Tony Mann of Cottonwood Falls; daughters, Sonia Koslosky and John of Aurora, IL, and Tammy Jirak and Jeff of Marion; brother, Dean Maxwell of KC., MO; sisters, Sandra Schroeder of Cottonwood Falls and Judy Moore and Jim of Emporia; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Don Maxwell. There will be a visitation Wednesday from 6 until 7:30 at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls. A celebration of service will be held Thursday, at 1:00 at the Elmdale United Methodist Church in Elmdale with burial in Cedar Point Cemetery.
