Description	:	KEARNEY — Don T. Lindstrom, 87, of Overton died Monday, Sept. 14, 2015, at Kearney Regional Medical Center. Graveside services with military honors will be later at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Gresham. Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney is in charge of arrangements. Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney is in charge of arrangements. Don was born Dec. 18, 1927, in York to Lowell and Dorothy (Nowels) Lindstrom. He grew up in Gresham and graduated from Gresham High School in 1946. Don joined the U.S. Army in 1951 and served for two years. Don married Betty Hansen on Aug. 2, 1953, in Beaver Crossing. They lived near Gresham and farmed until they moved to Arkansas in 1981. Don farmed and raised chickens until he retired in 2001, when they moved to Overton. Don and Betty traveled to Wyoming in the summers and helped put up hay on several ranches. Don loved to fix machinery and work in the garden. Surviving relatives include his daughter, Lee Bals and her husband, Mark, of Overton; grandson, Mark Bals of Elm Creek; granddaughter, Betsy Birulkin and her husband, Brandon, of Elm Creek; great-granddaughter, Videla Bals of Elm Creek; great-grandsons, John and Jacob Birulkin of Elm Creek; sister, Delilah Dey and her husband, Ronnie, of Gresham; brother-in-law, John Prigge of Surprise; and several nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his wife and a sister, Clysta Prigge.
