Dale received his primary education at Edison Public School. When Dale was in high school the family moved to Holdrege, where Dale graduated from Holdrege High School. Dale was born May 16, 1925 on the family farm north of Edison in Furnas County, Nebraska, the son of Donald Dale, I and Audrey E. (Bailey) Draper. Dale received his primary education at Edison Public School. When Dale was in high school the family moved to Holdrege, where Dale graduated from Holdrege High School. On July 18, 1943 he was united in marriage to Viletha Joan Hougnon at Norton, Kansas and to this union one son, Terry Dale was born. The family made their home in Edison. Dale served his country in the Merchant Marines and later was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force on January 29, 1952. Following his service he returned home to Furnas County and engaged in farming and trucking at Edison until his retirement at the age of 82. On December 31, 1985 he was preceded in death by his wife, Viletha. On November 30, 1987 he was united in marriage to Maurine Evelyn Kirby at Las Vegas, Nevada. On June 26, 2000 he was preceded in death by Maurine. Dale's passion in life was his work, he loved to be in the truck on the road. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Dale was preceded in death by: parents and two wives. parents.
