Read More	The Valley Falls Vindicator, 11 May 1989, Pg 8, col 5 DONALD C. MARSH Donald C. Marsh, 71, Valley Falls, died May 2, 1989, at a Topeka hospital. Mr. Marsh worked for the Valley Falls Vindicator for 10 years and for the state printing plant in Topeka for 27 years. He worked the past five years at Standard Printing Co. in Topeka. He was born July 29, 1917, in Valley Falls, the son of Stanley and Mable Curtis Marsh. He attended grade school and high school in Valley Falls. Mr. Marsh served in the U. S. Army from 1943 to 1945 and participated in the Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe campaigns during World War II. He was a 40-year member of the Topeka Typographical Union 121 and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Marsh was married to Nora Anderson Sept. 12, 1940, in the Coal Creek area north of Valley Falls. She survives. He was preceded in death by an infant son and an infant daughter. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Donna Antin, Punta Gorda, Fla., and Mrs. Patricia DeBacker, Topeka; a brother , George Marsh, Harbor, Ore.; two sisters, Mrs. Ruthe Shoaf, San Marino, Calif., and Mrs. Romona Brittain, Makawao, Maui, Hawaii; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services were May 6 at Nellis-Hagge Funeral Home, Valley Falls, with the Rev. Deborah Swank, United Methodist Church, Valley Falls, officiating. Rosalind Jackson was soloist and Gail Jepson, organist. Pallbearers were Charles Hunter, Kenny Stufflebean, Arthur DeBacker, Walton Hefty, John Lederer, and Frank Senn. Military graveside services at the Valley Falls Cemetery were conducted by the Grahem-Herbers Post 3084 of the VFW, Valley Falls. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rescue Squad of Valley Falls in care of the funeral home.
