She was born Sept. 9, 1898, at Cartersville, Mo., the daughter of Henry and Lydia Fleischer Curtis. She moved to the Valley Falls area at an early age and spent most of her early life in the Boyle and Pacific communities east of Valley Falls. Mrs. Marsh was a member of the United Methodist Church at Valley Falls and taught Sunday school classes many years. She also was a member of Ladies Auxiliary to Grahem-Herbers Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3084 at Valley Falls. She was married to Stanley W. Marsh Jan. 26, 1917, at Valley Falls. He died March 6, 1983. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ruthe Shoaf, San Marino, Calif., and Mrs. Raomona Brittain, Ksilua, Hawaii; two sons, Donald Marsh and George Marsh, both of Valley Falls; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Services were May 10 at United Methodist Church, Valley Falls, with the Rev. Wilbur Purvis, officiating. Mrs. Dale Jepson was organist and Mrs. Larry Jackson and Norman K. Nellis were soloists. Casket bearers were Keith Marsh, Veryle Gilleece, Marcel Rolin, Art DeBacker, Frank Senn, and Walton Hefty. Burial was in Valley Falls Cemetery. Nellis-Hagge Funeral Home, Valley Falls, was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions to the Valley Falls Rescue Unit.
