He was born Feb. 28, 1937, in Hutchinson to Jefferson and Ione (Nabors) McMannis. Both are deceased. He married Janet Sue Hodgson on December 29, 1958. They were divorced August 14, 1968. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Elman McMannis, and sister, Marlene Roberts. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Kaufman Funeral Home in Halstead, with family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Burrton Cemetery in Burrton. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
