ROBINSON Donald Eugene Robinson, son of Vern and Belva Means Robinson, was born February 25, 1924 in Villisca, Iowa and passed away September 29, 1984 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, following a brief illness. Mr. Robinson was married to Irene Larson in 1946 at Stanton, Iowa. He had farmed in the Villisca area. Mr. Robinson is survived by his wife, Irene, and two daughters, Mrs. Jim (LaVonne) Palmer of Aurora, Nebraska and Mrs. Steve (Linda) Ridenour of Atlanta, Georgia; five grandchildren, Wendy, Susan and John Palmer and Jennifer and Mark Ridenour. Mr. Robinson is survived by his wife, Irene, and two daughters, Mrs. Jim (LaVonne) Palmer of Aurora, Nebraska and Mrs. Steve (Linda) Ridenour of Atlanta, Georgia; five grandchildren, Wendy, Susan and John Palmer and Jennifer and Mark Ridenour. Also surviving are one brother, Harold Robinson of Villisca and one sister, Mrs. Don (Rachel) Lyle, also of Villisca. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Larry Robinson. Funeral services were held Monday, October 1 at 11:00 a.m. at Wolfe Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Roys officiating. Organist was Frances Gray. Flower bearers were Marge Smith and Joyce Cashatt, with Anita Wheeler at the register. Pall bearers were Dirk Dunn, Larry Wheeler, Don Means, Tom Rusk, Bill Jacobs, and Dawayne Peterson. Burial was in the Villisca Cemetery. Memorial may be directed to the Villisca Rescue Unit. Wolfe Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
