Description	:	LINCOLN - Donald Fredrick Lehn, 92, departed from this life on Thursday, March 7, 2013. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Butherus, Maser & Love Chapel, 4040 'A' Street, Lincoln. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the Elba Cemetery, Elba. Mr. Lehn was born Sept. 16, 1920, on a farm west of Elba to Fred and Olga Frandsen Lehn. After graduating from Scotia High School in 1939, Donald taught at rural schools for three years around Howard County. Mr. Lehn was born Sept. 16, 1920, on a farm west of Elba to Fred and Olga Frandsen Lehn. After graduating from Scotia High School in 1939, Donald taught at rural schools for three years around Howard County. He returned home to assist his father on the farm while his brother Jacob was in the Army. Donald was united in marriage to Sarah Eudean Vogt on Oct. 21, 1944, at the EUB Church in Elba. He then served in the Marine Corps from 1945-1946. He then attended GI Business College. He later worked as an accountant at Broken Bow RPPD. In 1959, the family moved to Kearney so Donald could attend Kearney State College, where in 1962 he received his BA in Music Education, and his Masters in Music from the University of Nebraska in 1966. Donald taught music for several years in the public schools in Nebraska. After moving to Lincoln in 1971, Donald worked in the Student Accounts Office at the University until 1985. In Donald's retirement years, he was busy riding his motorcycles and attending motorcycle rallies. He was also very active in the Danish Brotherhood as a member and past president of the Lincoln chapter. He was also a member of the Christ United Methodist Church and the American Legion Post No. 3. Donald is survived by his two sons, Denton of Monument, Colo., and James of Lincoln, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jacob, and his wife, Eudean. Published in The Grand Island Independent on March 8, 2013
