Description	:	Donald Herman Starcher, 75, of Procious, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston after a long illness. Donald was a Korean War Army veteran, a member of the Free Will Baptist Church of Procious and a retired deep miner for J.W Hanson Coal Co. at the Majestic Mines. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou (Taylor) Starcher; parents, Jossie Everett and Betty Ellen (Runion) Starcher; and sister, Lucille Demoss. Starcher and wife Carolyn, all of Procious; daughters, Judy Anne Walls and husband David, of Clay, Mary Ellen Barron and husband Allen, of Sharpsburg, KY, Kimberly Marie Landers and husband Butch, of Summersville, Marlena Marie Starcher, of Procious; brothers, Raymond Starcher, of Jonesville, VA, James Starcher, of Gauley Bridge, Loren Starcher, of Ashtabula, OH; sisters, Fietta Fay Demoss, Mary Truman, both of Maysel, WV, Wanda Deems, of Wallback; 17 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Matics Funeral Home in Clendenin with Pastor Lester Tanner officiating and the West Virginia Army Honor Guard performing military rites.
