Don was a lifetime farmer in Hamilton County, and was one of the early deep well irrigators in the area. For a number of years he was a member of the County Extension Board; was active in 4-H leadership, and was a member of the Rural District 4 school board. He was also a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Gladys; two sons, Roger of Phillips and Steven of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; one daughter, Anette Wilson of Huntington Beach, California; two brothers, Frank and Clark both of Seattle, Washington; one sister Ilene Mankin of Aurora; 7 grandchildren, and many other relatives and close friends.
