Read More	OBITUARY: Donald James Inlgis, 86, of Pawnee City, died Sunday, December 12, 1999 at the Community Medical Center in Falls City, Nebraska. He was born February 28, 1913, on a farm at the lower West Branch, in Pawnee county, Nebraska. He was the second of nine children born to Peter and Ilma (Bogue) Inglis. Jim, as he was known, attended rural school to eighth grade. Jim was united in marriage to Ethelda Ellen Smith on September 3, 1939, and to this union two children were born: a son, James Richard, and a daughter, Mary Carolyn. Jim and Ethelda farmed west of Pawnee City until 1966, when they moved into Pawnee City. He then worked for Warnke's Market for several years until he retired. After moving to Pawnee City, Jim still enjoyed his gardening, being out of doors, and visiting with neighbors and friends. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Pawnee City. While living in Pawnee City, Jim's wife, Ethelda, was taken with poor health. Jim cared for her at home for many years until her health forced her to reside at Pawnee Manor. While in the Manor, Jim was very faithful about spending a good share of each day with her. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ethelda, in February 1995; sisters, Mary (Mrs. Archer) Smith and Willa Jean Inglis; and brothers, Kenneth and Dale. He is survived by his children, Mary Rinne and husband, John (Jack), Flagstaff, Ariz., and James Inglis and wife, Loni, of Falls City, Neb.; two grandchildren, five step grandchildren, and 13 step-great grandchildren; three brothers, LeRoy of Lincoln. Neb., Harold of Falls City, and Bob of Beatrice; one sister, Dorothy, of Beatrice; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services were held Thursday, December 16, 1999, at Wherry Brothers Mortuary, Pawnee City, with David Sherwood officiating. Pallbearers were Danny Inglis, Larry O'Brien, Bob Davis. Helmot Shafer, Don Inglis, Kim Meister. Music was provided by Laura Turnbull, soloist, and Lyanna Inglis, organist. Interment was in the Pawnee City Cemetery.
