Timothy Miller Officiating Interment: , at Wyoming Cemetery, Wyoming, Iowa Donald John Krutzfield was born on February 26, 1925 at home in the rural Olin Township of Iowa known as Muskrat Slew. He was the second of three sons born to Ella Sieveka Krutzfield and Fred Krutzfield. He graduated from Olin High School, Olin, Iowa, in 1942 and continued to work on the family farm. He married Mabel Paulsen in 1946. Donald and Mabel farmed in Jones County Iowa until he retired in 1986. In 1991, Don and Mabel moved to California to be near their daughters. Don was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Pleasanton, California. He lived the past seven years in Sun Valley Mobile Estates, Livermore, where he nurtured many relationships with the residents there, doing odd jobs and lending a helping hand to anyone in need. He will be best remembered for his loving, giving, steadfast nature and his great love for the game of baseball. He is survived by two daughters, Donna (& David) Sullivan of Placerville, California; Verna Mahnke of Aurora, Colorado; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda in 1983, his wife, his parents, and his two brothers Robert and Richard. Donald J. Krutzfield, of Livermore, California and formerly of Wyoming, Iowa, died suddenly after collapsing on his daily walk, Thursday, April 19th, 2007, in Livermore, California, at the age of 82 years.
