Rossman, 66, Pomona, was Thursday, June 8,2006, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ottawa. Interment was in Scipio Cemetery. Mr. Rossman died Monday, June 5, at Village Manor Nursing Home in Ottawa. Donald L. Rossman was born April 3, 1940, south of Ottawa, the son of John and Agnes(Wolken) Rossman. He grew up and attended the Tappley Grade School near Richmond and graduated from Richmond High School in 1958. Don worked for Ralph Chandler as a cattleman before entering the United States Army. He also worked for the Sunflower Ordinance Depot in DeSoto; General Motors Company in Kansas City, MO; Buildex, Inc. in Ottawa; Commodore Trailers in Ottawa; and the Santa Fe Railroad as a trackman and machine operator for over 15 years in Ottawa. Don and Jeanie Ecord were married on October 19, 1968, in Richmond. They shared over 37 years of marriage. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ottawa; Knights of Columbus,Sacred Heart Council No. 3010; he served on the Greenwood Township Board and the Pomona Recreation Commission. He enjoyed being a dad, spending time with his family,and being very active in his children's baseball and 4-H projects. He also enjoyed hunting pheasant and quail. Mr. Rossman was preceded in death by his parents, John and Agnes Rossman.Don is survived by his wife, Jeanie, of the home; his son, Tim Rossman and his wife Wendy of Williamsburg; his daughter, JoAnna Smith and her husband Wendell of Olathe; his brothers, Jim Rossman and his wife Betty of Albert, KS, Virgil Rossman and his wife Pat of Richmond, Art Rossman and his wife Phyllis of Richmond, Earl Dean Rossman of Richmond, and Robert Rossman and his wife Vi of Princeton; his sisters,Mary Mulrenin and her husband Roger of Fenton, MI, Erma Brown and her husband Dan of Gardner, and Dorothy Shields and her husband Bob of Princeton; his grandchildren,Emma and Molly Rossman, and Taylor Smith; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
