He was born March 4, 1911, in Wapello County, to Milton M. and Margaret Warden Dickens. He lived in Wapello County near Farson most of his life. He had been employed by Hodgman and Son Construction Co. in Minnesota. He had been employed by Hodgman and Son Construction Co. in Minnesota. Surviving are four sons, David of Welcome, Rex, a captain at Forbes Air Force Base, Topeka, Kan., John of Hedrick, and Bruce of Nebraska City, Neb.; one daughter, Mary Margaret Dickens of Hedrick; his father of Truth Or Consequences, N.M., and two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Schweitzer of rural Hedrick and Mrs. Ruth Hayden of rural Eldon. His mother preceded him in death. The services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Fremont Funeral Chapel in Fremont , conducted by the Rev. Robert Capps.
