Description	:	Funeral services for Donel Paul Bruner, 73, of Bloomfield were held Tuesday, June 8 at Brockhaus Funeral Home in Creighton. Father Paul Ortmeier officiated the 10:30 service with interment in Greenwood Cemetery in Creighton. He was given Military Honors by the American Legion #249 of Bloomfield. Pallbearers included John Bruner, Nathan Bruner, Tom Bruner, Aaron Bruner, Tim Bruner and Phil Bruner. He served in the US Coast Guard during the WWII on the USS Wakefield. He was married to Marion Smith on January 10, 1974. His wife died in 1994. He was a longtime member of St. Andrew's Church in Bloomfield and American Legion #249 of Bloomfield. Don died June 3, 1999 at Lundberg Memorial Hospital in Creighton at age seventy-three. Survivors include sons and spouses, Tim and Patsy Bruner of Lincoln, Tom and Gloria Burner of North Platte and Phil and Joan Burner of Omaha; daughters and spouses, Ruth and Curt Tot of Nassau, the Bahamas and Mary and Rich Somerville of Vancouver, WA; nine grandchildren; brothers and their spouses, Keith and Biddy of Louisiana, Kenny and Mardell of Florida and Jim of Colorado and sister and spouse, JanAnne and Vaughn Erickson of Kansas and many nieces and nephews.
