He was born Nov. 26, 1922, at Halstead, Kan., the son of Walter and Lorena Burnham Hoskinson. He served in the Army Air Corps as a pilot during WWII, earning the rank of Lieutenant. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dale; and a grandchild, Catherine Hoskinson. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today, May 25, 2013, at the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, rural Burrton, with Pastor Mike Graber officiating. Burial will follow at the Burrton Cemetery, Burrton, Kan., with military rites conducted by the U.S. Air Force. Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m., with family present from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 24, 2013, at Ott Funeral Home, Haven. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church or Harden Hospice, in care of Ott Funeral Home, 102 N. Wichita, Haven, KS 67543 *Published in The Hutchinson News May 25 2013.
