He was a member of the First Christian Church. Surviving are three sons, Donald W.(Carol A.)Mason of Marengo, Robert W.(Sandra K.)Mason of Ottumwa and Roger W."Bill"(Cynthia K.)Mason of East Dubuque, IL; a son-in-law, Emmett D. House of Pheoenix, AZ; 17 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchilddren; two brothers, Harold(Mary Lou)Mason of Scottsdale, AZ; two sisters, Hazel(Jerry)Ruby of Ottumwa and Wilma Black of Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth Ann House; a grandson, Shawn Mason; three brothers, Red Mason, Buck Mason and an infant brother; three sisters, Darlene Sfurm, Maxine Richie and Lucile Lichter. Funeral services will be 1 pm Saturday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Luers officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery with military services conducted by Walter B. Schafer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars and O.B.Nelson Post #3 American Legion. Visitation begins at 1 pm Friday. The family will be present one hour prior to the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Essence of Life Hospice, Amana, IA.
