Donna was born April 1, 1942 in Belle Fourche to Donald and Beula (Starr) Rehorst. She graduated in 1960 from Belle Fourche High School. She married Kenneth Lee Franke on June 4, 1960. Read More	Donna Diane Franke April 1, 1942 - March 4, 2022 DONNA DIANE FRANKE, 79, of St. Onge, South Dakota died at her home on March 4, 2022. Donna was born April 1, 1942 in Belle Fourche to Donald and Beula (Starr) Rehorst. She graduated in 1960 from Belle Fourche High School. She married Kenneth Lee Franke on June 4, 1960. They lived in Belle Fourche, Miles City, MT, Fruitdale and St. Onge. Donna worked many jobs throughout her life. She was a bookkeeper, teller at the bank and worked for Patrons Oil and Belle Truck Stop. Donna also dealt black jack in Deadwood and worked as a cashier. She also was a substitute postmaster in Fruitdale and St. Onge. Donna volunteered at the Spearfish Community food pantry, the St. Onge UCC and the Spearfish Senior Citizen Center. She was a member of the UCC and the senior center. Donna was caretaker of her mother Beula, which enabled her to stay at home until her passing. Donna loved having fun, joking and kidding with people. She loved socializing with her friends, cooking, canning and sharing her bounty with others. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Beula; her husband, Kenneth Lee Franke; her son, Kenneth Wayne Franke and two infant brothers. She is survived by her daughter; grandson; her brother; niece and her 2 children; and her nephew and their son. The family suggests memorials to the St. Onge UCC, the Belle Fourche UCC and the American Heart Association. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, May 2 at 11:00 am at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Belle Fourche with Pastor, Chuck Aurand officiating. Inurnment will follow at 2:00 pm at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
