Donna Jean McKinney Danker was born November 24, 1934, at Alamosa, Colorado, the daughter of Leonard T. and Helen Dell Pappas McKinney. She married Lyle LeRoy Danker on May 21, 1955, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He preceded her in death on January 20,1965. During her lifetime she worked 27 years in customer service at Citizens Bank and Trust, Belle Plaine. She had previously resided in Alamosa, Colorado, Clinton, Cave City, Arkansas and moved to Belle Plaine in 1949. She was a member of First Congregational Church UCC, Legion Auxiliary, Belle Plaine Community Library Board, Belle Plaine Pride, Eastern Star, RSVP, 4 County Benevolent non-profit, 4th of July committee, Portia, Cub Scout den mother, R.N.A., Variance Board, Crop Walk, BP Share, Junior Bowlers and the Community Center Board. She volunteered a lot in the community. She is survived by her children, Linda (Gerald) Muench, Luzerne, Tom (Robin) Danker, Belle Plaine, David Danker, Cedar Rapids, John Danker, Belle Plaine, Tricia (Dan) Foley, Marsha (Steve) Vargason, Keystone; a sister, Billie Enns, LeGrand; a brother, Barry (Kathy) Markham, Cedar Rapids; nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father, Leonard T. McKinney; mother, Helen Dell Pappas McKinney Markham; her stepfather, John Markham; and a daughter, Amy Jo, in infancy Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine was in charge of arrangements.
