She was born Nov. 7, 1948, in Lamar, Colo., to Roy E. and Helen C. (Henry) Lankton. They survive of Leroy. She married Allen E. Gaeddert May 28, 1966, in Newton. He survives. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Newton. She was born Nov. 7, 1948, in Lamar, Colo., to Roy E. and Helen C. (Henry) Lankton. They survive of Leroy. She married Allen E. Gaeddert May 28, 1966, in Newton. He survives. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Newton. She was a blue-ribbon quilter with memberships in the Emma Creek Quilt Guild, the Prairie Quilt Guild of Wichita and the American Quilter's Society of Paducah, Ky. She was a charter member of the Kappa Nu Chapter of Epsilon Signa Alpha, an international philanthropic sorority in which she served all offices. She was a supporter of her children's activities. For the last two years she had been a self-employed income tax preparer. Other survivors include: one son, Jeff Gaeddert of Newton; one daughter, Sheryl Area of Newton; one sister, Nancy Beckmon of Camas, Wash.; three brothers, Richard Lankton of Halstead, Roger Lankton of Belle Plaine and David Noland of Chandler, Ariz.; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Mike Keating and David Keazirian officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Newton. Visitation will be until 9 p.m. today at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home. Family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials have been established with the Domestic Safe House of Newton and the Ronald McDonald House of Wichita.
