Description	:	Donna Louella Fox Metcalf, 89, of Flag Pond, died Monday, December 13, 2004, in Unicoi County Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Metcalf was a Yancey County native, having lived most of her life in Flag Pond. She was a daughter of the late William Madison Fox and Amanda Metcalf Fox. Mrs. Metcalf retired from Morrill Motors in 1977 after 12 years of service. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. Read More	Donna Louella Fox Metcalf, 89, of Flag Pond, died Monday, December 13, 2004, in Unicoi County Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Metcalf was a Yancey County native, having lived most of her life in Flag Pond. She was a daughter of the late William Madison Fox and Amanda Metcalf Fox. Mrs. Metcalf retired from Morrill Motors in 1977 after 12 years of service. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jake Metcalf on Sep. 26, 1991; a son, Vaughn Metcalf; three brothers, Robert Lee Fox, Bill Fox and Jim Fox; and three sisters, Lizzie Metcalf, Estie Edwards and Minnie Fox. She was survived by one son and two daughters-in-law, Earl and Shelby Jean Metcalf of Mars Hill and Dorothy Metcalf of Seaford, Va.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Edna and Vernon Shook of Mars Hill and Guindola and Cline Hensley of Flag Pond, Tenn.; two sisters, Mary Williams of Candler and Zella Young of Erwin, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Michael Metcalf, Lavonne Jackson, Ricky Shook, Lisa Calloway and Cathy Metcalf; three great-grandchildren, Ricky Shook Jr., Codie Jackson and J.J. Calloway; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A funeral service for Mrs. Metcalf was held at 7 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2004 at Ledford Funeral Home Chapel in Erwin, Tenn. The Rev. Cline Hensley officiated. A committal service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 17, 2004 in Divide Cemetery, Sam's Gap Community, Flag Pond, Tenn. Family members served as pallbearers.Ledford Funeral Home, 720 Ohio Avenue, Erwin, Tenn., was in charge of arrangements.
