Description	:	Donna Marie Bose, 87, of Stamford passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at the Beaver City Manor at Beaver City, Nebraska. Donna was born December 13, 1923 at Oxford, Nebraska, the youngest of two children born to Frank and Myrle (Rodabaugh) Upson. Donna received her education from Mascot, graduating from Mascot High School with the class of 1942. Read More	Donna Marie Bose, 87, of Stamford passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at the Beaver City Manor at Beaver City, Nebraska. Donna was born December 13, 1923 at Oxford, Nebraska, the youngest of two children born to Frank and Myrle (Rodabaugh) Upson. Donna received her education from Mascot, graduating from Mascot High School with the class of 1942. On March 21, 1942 she was united in marriage to Jay Fletcher Bose and to this union three children were born: Leroy, Jerry and Marsha. The family made their home on the farm northeast of Stamford, where Donna focused on raising the children and assisted Jay with the farming operation. Donna will also be remembered for her ability of making wedding, anniversary and birthday cakes for many family and friends. In 1982, Donna and Jay bought a camper and joined the Wheels for Fun Camping Club. They enjoyed spending the winter months in Texas for several years and treasured the friendship bonds formed. On January 13, 1986 she was preceded in death by her husband, Jay. Even after his death, Donna continued to spend winters in Texas making breakfasts and serving Christmas dinner for the other campers. Donna also enjoyed playing cards with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Stamford Presbyterian Church and later transferred to the Orleans Presbyterian Church. She was active in the Stamford American Legion Auxiliary, the River Party Gals and the Harlan County Farm Bureau Women. Donna was a faithful and loving wife and mother and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Besides her husband, Jay, she was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Darrell Upson; great-grandson, Christian Jay Bose; and son-in-law, Ron Dixson. Survivors include her three children: Leroy Bose and his wife, Donna of Stamford, Jerry Bose and his wife, Susan of Orleans, and Marsha Dixson of St. Libory, Nebraska; eleven grandchildren: Tereasa Lennemann and her husband, Greg, Mark Bose and his wife, Kim, Monty Bose and his wife, Joey, Lori Bash and her husband, David, Troy Bose and his wife, Mary, Michael Bose and his wife, Kristi, Kendra Brown and her husband, Tom, Corrina Lumbardo and her husband, Joe, Craig Dixson and his wife, Lesa, Tamra Decker and her husband, Jerry, Charles Dixson and his wife, Janet, thirty-seven great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; three sisters-in-law: Ersel Boyd of Augusta, Kansas, Violet Bose of Castro Valley, California and Florence Upson of Tawas City, Michigan; special friends, Dwayne and Helen Miller of Texas and a host of relatives and friends.
