Description	:	Donna Rae Garner DONNA RAE GARNER, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully at the Raymond Auxiliary Hospital on August 14, 2007, at the age of 76. Born on March 10th, 1931, Donna Rae grew up in Raymond and attended school there. She married Vernon Garner on May 28th, 1952 in the Cardston Alberta Temple, and had five children. Donna has spent all of her married life working in the LDS church in different capacities, including Relief Society and Stake Young Women presidencies, as well as Primary and Sunday School teacher. Read More	Donna Rae Garner DONNA RAE GARNER, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully at the Raymond Auxiliary Hospital on August 14, 2007, at the age of 76. Born on March 10th, 1931, Donna Rae grew up in Raymond and attended school there. She married Vernon Garner on May 28th, 1952 in the Cardston Alberta Temple, and had five children. Donna has spent all of her married life working in the LDS church in different capacities, including Relief Society and Stake Young Women presidencies, as well as Primary and Sunday School teacher. She served with her husband on a Stake Mission to Milk River for 3 ½ yrs. and a full time mission to the Philippines for 18 months. As music has always been a great love of Donna's, she sang with the Sweet Adelines from day one until it ended about seven years later. She served as president of the Raymond Hospital Auxiliary and also was vice-president of the Regional Hospital Auxiliary for the Southern Region. She loved to travel with her husband and also enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She loved nature, gardening and loved to play games. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Donna Rae is survived by her loving husband, Vernon Garner, her children: Darrel Garner (Lori) of Raymond, Doug Garner of Raymond, Glen Garner (April) of Parker, Colorado and Wendy Jessop of Coaldale; her sister, Beth Murdock (Bus) of Santa Barbara, Cal.; grandchildren: Cameron Hanes, Russ, Brandon (Heidi), Lori Anne, and Amy Garner; Kelsey , Keaton, Parker and Taylor Garner; Ryan, Jesse and Clayton Jessop; great-granddaughter, Taylor Jessop and great-grandson Ashton Garner. Donna was predeceased by her parents, Delsel and Elizabeth Ray Selman; her step-father, Clarence Smith; her brothers, Willis (age 13), Francis (age 14), Clyde (1 mo.) and Lynn Selman; her sister, Lorna Michelson; and brother-in-law, Ralph Michelson; and son, Randall Garner. Much gratitude goes to the nurses and staff at the Raymond Extended Care Facility for their care and service. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Raymond Stake Centre, with Bishop Carlos Jensen officiating. Friends may meet the family on Friday evening, August 17 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Raymond Stake Centre, and prior to the service on Saturday from 10:000 to 10:45 a.m. Interment to follow in Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Lethbridge, 402-740-4 Ave. S., Lethbridge, AB T1J 0N9.
