Read More	Donovan Dean Krupicka of Milligan, NE, the son of Lester and Wilma (Stych) Krupicka was born January 31, 1945, in Fairbury, NE. He departed this life Monday, May 14, 2018, at his son’s house in Ohiowa, NE, surrounded by his family. He was baptized and confirmed at the United Methodist Church in Friend, NE, and later became a Catholic, joining the Hebron Sacred Heart Catholic Church in 2017. Don grew up in the Tobias area and attended school, graduating with the class of 1963. After graduation, he entered the United States Navy August 3, 1963. He served three tours on the USS Kitty Hawk and the USS Intrepid during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged July 28, 1967. Don married Kathy Shea January 9, 1967, at the United Methodist Church in Friend. This union was blessed with the birth of five children. After returning from the Navy, Don worked in Friend as a mechanic, and then in Lincoln as a mechanic at ADM before moving to Ohiowa to farm in 1968. Don enjoyed being out in God’s great creation, raising crops, cattle and pigs. Farming was Don’s life; he always worked hard and handed on his valuable traits to his sons. He also passed on his orneriness, love of playing pranks, and sense of fun to his kids and grandkids. Don was involved in his community. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Ohiowa, and served as a board member of the church, the Ohiowa Co-op, and school board. He was especially proud to be a member and past commander of the Ohiowa American Legion Club Post #193.a In 1988, Don and Kathy purchased the restaurant and bar in Carleton, naming it Champs. They enjoyed meeting and making new friends as a new venture in their lives. Many still claim Don to be the best bartender ever. Buying and restoring tractors was a hobby of Don’s. He loved going to sales, finding just the right collector item, and bringing it home, no matter how bad it looked. He would start on it, and, then, of course, would round up Greg and the boys to help with restoration in the garage on the farm. Don enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren, attending all of their events and being their best supporter, even when he was fighting cancer. He is preceded in death by his parents, in-laws Duane and Virginia Vavra and Jack Shea, brothers Bob and Larry Krupicka, sister-in-law Terry Shea, and granddaughter Morgan Krupicka. He is survived by his wife Kathy, Milligan. Three sons: Jeff Krupicka and wife Katie, Carleton; Greg Krupicka, Ohiowa; and Eric Krupicka and wife Jenny of Hebron. Two daughters: Kelly Mumm and husband Curt, and Michaela Krupicka, all of Hebron. Brother Ron Krupicka and wife Carol, Carleton; sisters-in-law Laura Krupicka, Carleton; and Bonnie Krupicka, Beatrice. Brother-in-law Delfs Linder, Lincoln; sisters-in-law Kim Stefonick and husband Jeff, Aurora, CO; and Christie Vavra, Wellington, New Zealand. Grandchildren: Patrick Mumm, Belvidere; Kieffer Mumm and wife Brianna, Lincoln; Trev Mumm and special friend Kalli Schoeder, Lincoln; Connor Mumm, Hebron; Lynlee Sealey and husband Jamey, Davenport; Kaitlyn Krupicka and special friend Will Mick, Fairfield; T.J. Krupicka, Sedan; Collin Krupicka and special friend Kassi Hartley, Belvidere; Caleb Krupicka, Ohiowa; Christian, Jaxon, and Cooper Krupicka, Hebron; Kaizley Krupicka, Hebron. Great-grandchildren Natalie and Cambrie Linscomb, Davenport; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mass of the Christian Burial will be Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hebron, NE at 10 AM. Burial at Ohiowa Cemetery. Officiant will be Father Rudy Oborny. Visitation will be Wednesday 1 PM until rosary. Rosary service will be 7 PM Wednesday, May 16, at Kroll Funeral Home Chapel in Hebron. Acolyte Leland Weber, reader Roger Retzlaff, altar boys Lukas and Gavin Kroll, organist Janet Germer, cantor Carlece Kenner, congregational hymns, “How Great Thou Art,” “In The Garden,” and “The Old Rugged Cross,” and songs at the cemetery “Anchors Aweigh” and “The Dance.” Memorials in care of family.
