Description	:	Dora was a schoolteacher in the Maple Springs Community of Needmore. She was a member of the Maple Springs Methodist Church. When she entered the little frame church on Sunday morning, she would go down the aisle joyfully singing a hymn. A family member still has her little hymnal. While still very young and unmarried, she became ill with pneumonia and died. She is buried with a few other family members in a private cemetery on a hillside overlooking the Little Tennessee River near her family homeplace.
