Read More	Progress Review, La Porte City, Iowa Thursday, October 2, 1947, Page 1 Death Summons Mrs. Dora Rundel Here Sunday Had Been In Failing Health for Year and a Half; Services Yesterday Death due to a cerebral hemorrhage, came to Mrs. Dora Rundel at her home in this city Sunday afternoon at 12:30 o’clock. She had been in failing health the past year and a half and bedfast six weeks. As Cora Chrysler she was born to Sylvester S. and Delilah Blaine Chrysler, Aug. 2, 1873 in Franklin Co., Ohio. When a young girl she came to Maquoketa with her parents in a covered wagon. Resident Since 1910 Dec. 9, 1893, she and Orren H. Rundel were married at Maquoketa and established a home there. Several years later they moved to La Porte City. They lived here a few years and in Missouri five years. In 1910 the family came back to La Porte City where she was a resident until her death. Surviving her are three sons, Orlin E. and Earl S., La Porte City and Howard S., Waterloo, four daughters, Mrs. Laura Gardner, Mrs. Ralph Riggle and Mrs. Donald Devine, La Porte City and Mrs. Norbert Fangman, Nashua. She also leaves 32 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, two brothers, Eli Chrysler, Chicago and George Chrysler, Davenport, and one sister, Mrs. S.B. Rundel, Portland, Oregon. Gold Star Mother Mrs. Rundel was a member of the Methodist church and a Gold Star mother of the American Legion Auxiliary. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Methodist church and were in charge of the pastor, Rev. Oliver Jensen. Burial was in West View cemetery. Relatives from out of town who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. George Chrysler, Davenport; Mrs. O.L. Mullen, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Schreiber and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Rundel, Waterloo; Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Fangman, Mr. and Mrs. Vergil Fisher, Mrs. F.J. Gogg and Miss Louise Fangman, Nashua, and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Burris, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Gunn and Mrs. William Thompson, Vinton.
