Description	:	Dora Marie Wilson, 86, of Metamora, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013, at the Brookville Healthcare Center where she had been a resident for the past two and a half years. One of eight children, she was born January 11, 1927 in Lewisville, Indiana, the daughter of Albert and Celia McQueen Casteel, and, as a child, grew up with her family in Metamora and attended Metamora School and Brookville High School. Read More	Dora Marie Wilson, 86, of Metamora, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013, at the Brookville Healthcare Center where she had been a resident for the past two and a half years. One of eight children, she was born January 11, 1927 in Lewisville, Indiana, the daughter of Albert and Celia McQueen Casteel, and, as a child, grew up with her family in Metamora and attended Metamora School and Brookville High School. On November 12, 1947, she was married in Laurel to Robert Wilson; they farmed in the Metamora area for more than fifty years – Mr. Wilson died March 5, 2010. She was employed for more than twenty-five years in the sewing department of Batesville Casket Company. A faithful member of Elm Grove Baptist Church in Metamora, where she served for more than forty years as a Sunday School and also Vacation Bible School teacher, she helped in establishing an outreach ministry of assisting the community with its needs. She enjoyed cooking, baking pies and, along with her husband, taking food to others. Survivors include four children, Mike Wilson of Laurel, Perry Wilson and his wife Vickie of Metamora, Teresa Combs and her husband Clarence of Connersville and Jeff Wilson and his wife Barb of Metamora, eleven grandchildren, Mica Timmerman, Mikey Wilson and Missy (Jesse) Thompson, David and Jeremy (Christa) Wilson, Jason and Justin (Becky) Combs, Bradley (Jane), Derrick (his fiancé Amy), Jacob and Aaron (Brittany) Wilson, eight great-grandchildren, Allison and Katie Timmerman, Cody Wilson, Laine Russell, Tyler and Kylie Wilson, Josh Wilson and Chandler Combs, a brother, Harold Casteel and his wife Geraldine of Mesa, Arizona, and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her devoted husband of sixty-three years, she was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Mattie Ott, and five brothers, Roy, Steve, Gene, Albert Jr. and John Casteel. Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Elm Grove Baptist Church, Pastor Randy Edwards, officiating; burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery at Brookville – family and friends may call at the church from 4 until 8 PM Tuesday; they may also visit anytime online at millermosterrobbins.com. Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
