The Belleville Telescope (Belleville, KS), Thursday, March 6, 1919; pg. 1 ===== Mrs. Lloyd Adams (By The Telescope's Munden Corr.) Dora Olive Simmons was born February 26, 1901, at Narka and passed away July 15, 1937, at the age of 36 years, 4 months and 19 days. Sorrow came early in her life, in the death of her mother when she was only 13 months old. When she was about four years of age the family moved to Munden and here the happy childhood days and school days were spent. On February 27, 1919 she was united in marriage to Lloyd Adams and to them was born one son. They have lived nearly all the years in the towns of Republic county (sic) and since 1932 have resided in Munden. Gentleness is the word that expressed the characteristic of her life. Always faithfully devoted to the care of her home, including Barbara Jean, who when only two years of age was taken into their home and whom she kindly mothered for three years. When 15 years of age she joined the Methodist Episcopal church (sic) and lived the life of faith and kindly helpfulness. Those who mourn her are her husband and companion of years; a son, Lloyd, jr.; her father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Jonah Simmons of Mahaska; two half-sisters, Mrs. Ilah Heiderbrecht and Lola Simmons of Fairbury; three half-brothers, Cecil and Ralph of Mahaska, and Lloyd of Seibert, Colo.; also her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Simmons of Mahaska; as well as a host of relatives and friends who will greatly miss her gentle ways and thoughtful deeds. The funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Methodist Episcopal church (sic) in Munden by the Rev. Amos Rundus, assisted by the Rev. F.L. Coulter, and the Rebekah lodge. Burial was made in the Ida cemetery (sic). The Belleville Telescope (Belleville, KS), Thursday, July 22, 1937; pg. 7
