Hoins, daughter of Irvine and Mary (Perry) Woodward, was born on a farm near Guide Rock, Nebraska, September 7, 1907, and passed away while a patient in Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital, Superior, Nebraska, Saturday, August 5, 1995, at the age of 87 years, 10 months and 29 days. She attended rural schools in Webster County and graduated from Guide Rock High School. June 18, 1929, she was married to Daniel H. Hoins at Clay Center, Nebraska. This union was blessed with two daughters, Theora and Audrey. They farmed in Webster and Nuckolls Counties for 45 years until his retirement. Dora enjoyed playing cards, quilting, sewing for the hospital auxiliary and working in the gift shop. She liked growing flowers and her garden. She also received great joy from her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Methodist Church, Ladies Groups, Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital Auxiliary and Senior Citizens. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Dan, on August 11, 1982, two brothers, Kenneth and Earl Woodward; and one sister, Hazel Hoins. Survivors include her two daughters, Theora Lang and her husband Raymond of Davenport, Nebraska, and Audrey Lambrecht and her husband Albert of Kenesaw, Nebraska; one brother, Clair Woodward and his wife Helen and one sister, Marie Bailey and her husband Clifford, all of Guide Rock, Nebraska; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 8, 1995, at 10:30 a.m. from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Superior, Nebraska, with Rev. L. Patterson Culligan officiating. Music was provided by soloist Carol Shambaugh singing "How Great Thou Art" and "The Old Rugged Cross" with Carlita Price as organist and accompanist. Casketbearers were Lance Lambrecht, David Lang, Allen Woodward, Larry Lambrecht, Rodney Rose and Kenneth Bailey. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Superior.
