Her proud career as a Federal Civil Servant as a Realty Specialist transpired on Elmendorf AFB, Anchorage, AK and the US Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, CO. As a loyal Red Lobster customer, she never met a shrimp she didn’t like. Herberger’s, Kohls, and TJ Maxx will see their profits dip slightly in the future as she gives someone else a chance at the sale items. Although she never hit a casino super jackpot, she tried awfully hard to beat the one armed bandit’s across this nation. Dorie will forever be known for her compassion to all, and unending love of her family. She is survived by her husband, Calvin Sr., son, Calvin Jr., daughter Kimberly; and son and daughter-in-law, Casey & Jane. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Colton, Taylor, Loren and Ethan; sister’s, Darleen and Delia; and so many loving family members in the region. An open gathering hosted by the family will be held from 1 – 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 17, at Bismarck Funeral Home. The family requests privacy at their residence after the gathering. Final resting place will be the Black Hills National Veterans Cemetery, Sturgis, SD in the spring of 2017. She loved a lot in her time, she stood in the shadows so others could shine…she loved a lot in her time.
