She was born in Westmoreland Co. Penn. 20 August 1843, and came with her parents, Peter and Elizabeth [McConnell] Felmlee to Iowa in 1867, settling in Village Township, this county. Here the departed made her home until Aug 1911, when she moved to Minnesota. She was for many years a member of the Mt. Moriah M.E. church near Douds, and enjoyed the comforts of the christian faith. She leaves to mourn for her a son, Alpha Felmlee, of Minnesota; a daughter, Mrs Johm Wear, of Douds; 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; one brother and two sisters. The funeral took place from Mt. Moriah church 9 January 1914, Rev. G.W. Barber of Chillicothe, Iowa, conducting the service. Interment in the Mt. Moriah cemetery
