She went to meet her heavenly Father and her Family who had gone on before. Dorethea was born May 24, 1913 in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada to Edward N. and Tillisty M. French. She was one of eleven children. Her family moved to the United States on April 9th, 1920. She had been a longtime resident of Yakima, and before her declining health attended New Hope Chapel. Read More	"Bend, OR. - Dorethea Mae Evans passed away in Bend, OR on Saturday March 16th at 12:30 AM following an extended illness with Alzheimer's. She went to meet her heavenly Father and her Family who had gone on before. Dorethea was born May 24, 1913 in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada to Edward N. and Tillisty M. French. She was one of eleven children. Her family moved to the United States on April 9th, 1920. She had been a longtime resident of Yakima, and before her declining health attended New Hope Chapel. She was moved to an Alzheimer's facility in Bend in 1999 to be closer to her daughter. Most of her life she was a homemaker who loved her yard and flowers. She worked for several years as a fruit sorter at Pacific Fruit Warehouse. Dorethea was a widow at the time of her death. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Beverly Jean Harlow, and by three brothers and six sisters. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Roberta and Bob Gray of Bend, five grandsons and five great-grandchildren. They are: Ken & Elaine Reeves, and sons Eddie & Sterling, Rick Reeves, Brent & Stephanie Reeves and children Brad, Blake & Brianna all of Yakima. Joel GRay and Keven Gray of Bend. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law Ralph and Arlene French of Selah and many other nieces and nephews. Her nephew, Duane French of Midway Christen Center in Kent will be officiating. Funeral Services will be held Thursday March 21, 2002 at 11:00 AM at the 9th Ave. Keith & Keith Funeral Chapel. Concluding services and burial will follow in the Tahoma Cemetery. Viewing will be at the Keith & Keith Funeral Home Tuesday and Wednesday March 19th & 20th from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM." --Yakima Herald Republic
