Visitation will be until 7 p.m. today, July 24, at Tennant Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 25, at Tennant with the Rev. Ken Marlow officiating. There will be cremation. Inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery. Mrs. Klein was born Feb. 2, 1918, in Wellfleet, Neb., to John and Sadie (Sypher) Lofkwist. She attended Wellfleet schools and the University of Nebraska School of Agriculture. She worked as a telephone operator at a variety of stores, including JCPenney. On Dec. 3, 1953, she married Stephen J. Klein Sr. in Wyoming. She was a member of the VFW and Eastern Stars. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, playing cards and reading. Mrs. Klein is survived by her daughters, P.J. Ferryman of Omaha, Neb., Rhonda Vazquez-Yauk and Nancy Clark and husband Tim of Columbus, Ohio; sons, Stephen J. Klein Jr. and wife Cindy, and Jerald Klein and wife Ruth, both of Sterling; sister, Edith Temple of Torrington, Wyo.; seven grandchildren, Josh Klein, Andrea Klein, Neil Clark, Turner Clark, Andrew Klein and Bronson Klein; three great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen J. Klein Sr.; and sisters, Alice Sharp, Ilene Lofkwist, Lilly Hunt and Blanche Gardner. Donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice in memory of Doris Klein.
